Rain DelayViews: 753

How’s the weather over there? Ha ha. I’ve heard that watching the weather channel is a sure sign of being old. So why haven’t I changed the channel yet? There’s a new tropical storm coming right for Houston. Or that’s what they’re saying anyway. So the whole area is back on CYA mode. They’ve closed the outpatient clinic for tomorrow! My last chemo has been rescheduled for next Tuesday. Geez! So my treatment time has been extended slightly, but I get to feel good for one whole week! Of course “feeling good” is all relative.

Some more weather history…back in 2001 there was a tropical storm that flooded Houston big time. They just mentioned it on the weather channel, it caused $5 billion in damage. Our house flooded, but only about a foot. This happened in June. We didn’t find a contractor to do the repairs until October. There were so many worse off than us. Heck, we were actually in the flood plain, so had insurance. Anyway. So, I totally understand why they’re shutting a lot of the city down. In fact, the Medical Center floods rather easily, so I’d rather not be there. We’ll see how it goes. I’m sure my weather comments come across as casual, but I really do worry. My prayers go out for everyone’s safety. Right now in the Chicago area, especially.

Love and hugs to all. Goodnight!
